Kicking off with an interactive panel discussion featuring experts Cornelis Winnips (Novartis), Frank Tennigkeit (UCB) and Alexander Fetkovsky (SanaClis), the workshop opened with a reflection on the past, present, and future of clinical trials. Covering regulatory changes, digital transformation and the rise of patient-centric approaches, this lively discussion focused on a variety of crucial matters.

Diving deeper into patient centricity, Nick Sireau (AKU Society & Orchard OCD), a leading voice in rare disease advocacy, explored novel ideas and shared experiences on how to design clinical research around patient needs. His unique perspective provided invaluable insights, sparking insightful discussions.

Continuing on the topic, Nick Sireau, Roman Hrynchuk (SanaClis), and Goran Unkovski (Meliovit) participated in a dynamic discussion on the future of patient centric and decentralized trials. As leaders from patient advocacy, CRO operations, and health tech, the panelists provided distinctive insights on success factors and challenges in decentralized trials.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thank you to all the speakers and attendees for their valuable insights and the active participation in the event.

As we reflect on the successful 20th anniversary of the interdisciplinary expert workshop, we want to thank Dr. med. Johanna Schenk for launching the event and shaping the workshop into a space for exchange, connection, and community.

We are delighted to carry on this tradition!
