Post-Event Summary: 19th Annual Interdisciplinary Expert Workshop by SanaClis
The 19th annual Interdisciplinary Expert Workshop organized by SanaClis in Frankfurt brought together experts and professionals from various fields in clinical research and drug development. The event featured a series of insightful presentations that explored critical strategies and operational considerations in clinical trials.
The day began with the presentation on CTIS submission strategy which outlined the importance of meeting critical milestones in clinical trials to ensure timely drug approval. It identified common obstacles in preparation and submission of initial application such as site evaluation delays, document collection, and country-specific adaptations and translations
The next session highlighted the impact of DCTs from key stakeholder perspectives, defining DCTs and emphasizing the synergy gained from stakeholder collaborations and the shift towards patient-centric mobile healthcare. Key success factors such as expanding the reach of clinical trials, ensuring data integrity, and enhancing oversight by Principal Investigators (PIs) were discussed.
The workshop continued with a deep dive into operational aspects for clinical trials involving cell and gene therapy, covering elements such as apheresis units, genetic stratification, and long-term follow-up for monitoring treatment efficacy and safety.
The final presentation provided a concise overview of AI's ubiquitous presence in biopharma, focusing on its applications and future considerations. This session underscored the significance of preparedness and the evolving role of AI in clinical development.
